I'm not sure that 'hunk' is the first word that would spring to mind for most of those on the list. But it could have been worse: it could have included Arnie as Conan.
Anyone who has the bad taste to pick Kirk over Picard (the voices alone should settle it, plus, hey, we got a good look at Picard naked in Chain of Command, and I don't even want to imagine what Kirk looked like at that age) and not to include at least one Cardassian clearly has a bizarre idea of attractiveness.*g*
(Though admittedly some of the other picks were understandable...)
It's a shame there's no Cardassian, although I can understand the choice of Weyoun. When I went to my first Trek convention, I thought I was one of those fan veterans, you know, nothing could ever make me starry-eyed again, but Mr Combs was lovely. (I also came away hugely impressed with Gates McFadden, who was this brilliant and literate speaker, and did some wonderful performances of Alan Bennett monologues at the cabaret on the Saturday.)
Murmurings from many friends about the absence of James Marsters, although I never saw it myself.
Isn't that great??! And it's written by my friend, Amy, who you've corresponded a bit with, sharing many common interests and papers on fandom. Thanks so much for posting it here. She'll be thrilled. :D
Awww... lucky you. Our schedules have been so wacky we haven't been able to get together for coffee in at least 3 weeks. I'm in complete Amy-withdrawal. :(
Glad to hear that your writing is going so well, BTW! Which fandom? Or original?
