It's a full life, if a trifle banal

I was supposed to be spending yesterday preparing to start teaching today, so I wrote my piece for the ficathon at earthsea_fic instead. The request was for: "some obscure characters, more specifically... Penthe and Thar". I might do some tweaks, and I'm not quite sure of the title yet.
