Stupidly, I didn't take a picture of the dessert, because it was so beautiful I was sitting gasping at it. But they were tiny, tiny scones of deliciousness!

I keep saying in my mind mushroom... vegetables (specific) ... soy. And imagining it and then saying.... coffee.... And not imagining it. Definitely, definitely, something to try next week.

Date: 2008-08-19 07:31 am (UTC)The coffee works as a kind of 'mystery flavour': you know there's something extra there, contributing to the 'earthiness' of the mushrooms, but it's only when you're told that you realize it's coffee (despite the clue of it being served in espresso cups!).
