I decided to ease up and read Three Men in a Boat. (Because I want to read Connie Willis' To Say Nothing of the Dog next.)

It's bloody funny.

The only one I've read of hers so far is Lincoln's Dreams. [livejournal.com profile] katlinel has lent me Passage, which I'll be reading shortly.

Everyone raves about Connie Willis, and I can't understand why I never heard of her or picked up anything by her before!

And 'Fire Watch', 'Impossible Things' and 'Bellwether' are also waiting for you when you wish.

Those three I bought in the U.S. a couple of years ago. It isn't that easy to get hold of her books in the U.K. (not that I've checked Amazon for them recently). Shops only seemed to stock 'The Doomsday Book'. That might be why you'd not come across her much.

I'll be eagerly awaiting your thoughts on Passage.

Oh, and I'm building up a collection of books for reading swapsies.

I got 'To Say Nothing of the Dog' via Amazon, but it's a US edition.

You're going to be installed in the Room of Books again, so come with a spare suitcase!
