However, long and considered discussion has revealed that there is something that could be improved by not setting it in space. Blake's 7.

I was trying to think of how I'd do the show again, if someone handed me the money. And realized that if I did get to do it, I'd make it all about resistance against an Evil Earth Administration in a near future. No need for spaceships. It would be the programme that you think you're going to get when you watch 'The Way Back'. And it'd be great (well, it is in my head).

Callan In Space would be brilliant though.

I'd never have watched B7 if it hadn't been in space. I like SF infinitely more than political drama, though I admit to watching Commander in Chief which I keep calling Supreme Commander.

That scene where Fanny waits on the bench and everyone else chases each other through the wood would be excellent set in a space dock where Fanny is struggling to get her clapped out planet hopper gig to work, and everybody else zings off in their nippy little space phaetons in hot pursuit of each other through an asteroid belt.
