That's charming, altariel. Thank you for pointing to it. The picture of Denethor's difficulties made me smile without turning him into just a figure of fun, and I liked Finduilas' strength. A nice PoV, and an almost-throwaway last sentence that would steal many other a show. Certainly not an "ordinary tale". :-)
Hey, thanks for reading it! :) I'm glad you liked it. I did have an awful fun tormenting the poor man, but he shouldn't have tried to fit his proposal into his busy schedule. Finduilas became more and more evil the more I wrote.
Yikes! But SARS isn't airborne, so I guess it shouldn't be too much of a problem? I read in the newspapers about a man who lives next door to a bunch of people who died from SARS, and he's just taking the usual precautions, nothing too drastic.
Good to know you're feeling better! :)
By the way, did the link I send you (to the picture) work?
The scientific ignorance of you humanities types never ceases to astonish me.
There is no such thing as a "chocolate addiction". Those cravings you feel are a certain sign that your body is starved for an essential nutrient, specifically vitamin C. (What did you think the "C" stood for, anyway? Obviously, chocolate!) When you feel those cravings, you should liberally indulge in chocolate, to insure that your body is receiving enough of this vital nutrient.
Trust me, I should know. Not only am I a physician, I used to live in Hershey, Pennsylvania (yep, the town where Hershey bars are made - during the summer, the whole town smells like brownies baking). Would I steer you wrong?

I object! No less an establishment than A University has awarded me the degree of M.Sc.!! OK, so the science was psychology, but the fact remains that I have Mastered Science, and I have the piece of paper and the hat to prove it!
Would I steer you wrong?
Mmm, chocolatey goodness... But, you know, American chocolate isn't the real thing...
I don't usually wear a tag with my name on, btw (I can just about manage to remember my name - most days! *g*) - I was at a 'Blake's 7' convention. The big bracelet is a copy of one of the props from 'Blake's 7' - I don't usually wear that either. But the specs and the black clothes are standard issue.

Date: 2003-04-16 05:38 am (UTC)It's just blended differently. Swiss chocolate is so high in vitamin C that the American constitution overdoses on it, you see. ;-)
