More big files below the cut.

Continuation of a theme.

Rather pleased with this one; that's King's College chapel in the background.

Accent colour rather spoiled by date stamp.

Hello flowers, hello sky...

Hello tree...

Nice shots! I have some rather like that on my hard drive from last year ;)

The one with the poppy ought to be fixable with some judicious GIMP[1]ing - a quick-and-dirty crop would be one option. Whack off the left and bottom borders, losing the date stamp, but retaining the proportions and most of the content.

[1] or other image manipulation software of your choice.

This is second pimp for GIMP *g* - I've been using Paint and Office Photo Manager, but I admit I'm not very good at image manipulation (just learning with all these new LJ icons I have).

I started using it because it's free, and also open source which is a philosophy I like. But using it on Windows occasionally feels horribly, horribly wrong ;) (From an ethical standpoint, I mean).

As for learning how, I'm still very crap due to round tuit deficiency. But there are about fifty bazillion sites around with tutorials, including one with a honking great PDF manual. Yell if you're interested, and I'll fire some links your way.

Eeeeeeeeee! I learned how to recognize the front of Clare the same place so many others have. Feeling smug masks envy well enough.*sighs*

Thank you for these beautiful pictures.

Curious now - 'Chariots of Fire'?

Glad you like the pictures! I'm going to try to get some slightly sunnier ones if the weather holds up this week.

Ah, well, I learned about Clare from Dorothy Sayers. Another Harriet wannabe here.*g*

I'll look at whatever you put up! The swans were lovely.

*sigh* Oh yes, count me as another Harriet-wannabe. But my gorgonzola memory has let the bit about Clare slip through :-( Which one is it in?

*happy sigh* I might just have to go and reread that now. (I've been re-reading Bujold all week.)

I'll try to get some river later in the week ;-)
