I like the way that your story moves up and down the layers of - how can express it - externality and internality? If you see what I mean. The way his narrative slides from being extrovert and sociable to being introspective and secret.

I would love to claim that was intentional. It's very like the character - ostensibly sociable, but that's mostly a front for a very intense and hidden inner life (or am I just writing him as an INFJ...? *g*). He's made of secrets and lies.
