Thnaks for that, I am halfway through reading it now in amongst preparing some papers. My eye was caught by this:

I used to watch Star Trek, until they went off the rails with Voyager, and when we were in England about two centuries ago we got hooked on Dr Who - the guy with the long scarf and the great nose.

Thanks for posting the link. I love that author, but I never read an interview with her. The Internet can be a great place at times.

Thank you for that. I love her work and had never read an interview with her. BTW I often recommend 'The Dispossessed' to people who say they hate SF.

Her website is a real treasure trove.

My offline reading group is fairly resistant to SF, and I was thinking of suggesting we did The Dispossessed, or maybe The Left Hand of Darkness.
