Picowrimo's summer outing

It's not too late to join in the summer round of picowrimo!

What is picowrimo? From the community profile:

PicoWriMo started out as a place for people who wanted to participate in some of the madness and achievement of NaNoWriMo, but wanted a more realistic target - say 500 or 5000 words...

We have daily prompts for people to post about the progress they're making and to give encouragement to others to hit their writing targets...

There are no goals other than those you set for yourself, and no compulsion beyond what you put upon yourself. There are no limits on genre, style, age, or experience, and both fiction and non-fiction are welcome.

Usually picowrimo runs during November alongside NaNoWriMo, but espresso_addict has generously organised a July outing. If you've had a piece lying around that you've always wanted to finish, picowrimo might just be the spur and support that you need!

It is, I'm here with my bedjacket, fluffy socks, heater and coffee...

(Why do I have no heroes that would be seen dead in fluffy socks??? I'm sure I could write several paragraphs on the subject...)

Colds always hit me worse because they interfere with my ability to breathe through my nose... which interferes with my ability to use my CPAP machine... which interferes with my ability to sleep... which interferes with my ability to get better. 8-(
Night before last, I didn't sleep at all, all night. Then I slept during the day. God only knows how my body-clock will be when it's over. 8-(

(I only happen to be mod of picowrimo because I started the community - I think of whoever happens to be running the current round as the moderator. To be honest, it's not needed any modding at all. If a current member has something to do with writing that they want to bring to the attention of other current members - that seems perfectly reasonable to me.)
