Mercifully I think this passed us by in the UK... though you and lil_shepherd seem to know about it, so maybe I jnust missed it. I was obviously lucky.
It was an dreadful Aussie series that seemed to take place mainly on a sand dune in the Red Centre. I remember that acting was wooden and the spaceship was just a wedge. It was shown in Yorkshire - I think in ABC days - on Saturday mornings.
