Congratulations to Dwimordene, who has posted the last chapter of her epic LotR AU Lie Down in the Darkness, Rise up from the Ash. The first chapter was posted in August 2001: it's amazing to see this story finished at last. Go Dwim!

Wow, I'm impressed. I remember this story from my Tolkien fandom days in 2003-2005, but I abandoned it because I don't like reading WIPs (not even if they are clearly excellent) and I thought the poor author was never going to finish such a veritable epic. Now I know what I'll be doing over the weekend...

Go Dwim! (Although every time I go back to LDID I have to fight the urge to go back to the beginning, because I've forgotten so much...)

I've lost my bet with myself about Powers and Chances now, too, boo. The thought that I wasn't the only one taking forever on an Endless WIP was sustaining me! (Though possibly only about 5 chapters to go and I have written a lot of that - I am struggling a bit with the current episode and it's like wading through treacle...)
