Doctor Who: The King's Dragon - cover

What's that? You'd like to see the cover of my forthcoming Doctor Who novel The King's Dragon featuring the eleventh Doctor and published by BBC Books on 8 July?

And, yes, since you ask, you can pre-order from Amazon. (Or Waterstones. Or the BBC Bookshop itself.) (ETA: In North America, I've seen people suggest trying the The Book Depository or the Who Shop North America.)
And while I'm here: Doctor Hoooo. (Thanks
sahiya for the link!)

Date: 2010-05-19 06:18 pm (UTC)Do you happen to know if/when it might become an audiobook, as well? (I don't quite know how that works...)
Congrats, congrats, congrats! :D

Date: 2010-05-20 10:10 pm (UTC)(Would you think King's Dragon will be reasonable bedtime-story material for a seven-year-old who's watching Eleven, albeit usually snuggled in very tightly with Mummy or Daddy for the scary bits? Or is it Too Grown Up? It'll be out too late for the Boy's birthday in June, but still... clearly I need to get my paws on a copy and pre-read it, purely as a responsible parent, you understand ;-) )

Date: 2010-05-21 02:12 pm (UTC)I think it would OK as bedtime reading. The age range is intended to be 10-14, but if Mum took a look through in advance, she'd soon see whether there were any bits that needed a bit of editing. (I think TV images are likely to be scarier.) When you have it, I'll direct you to the section that I think is likely to be the most alarming.
