Milford

I'm off to the Milford SF Writers Workshop in the morning: a week in these rather lovely surroundings. Back in the summer, I decided it would be pleasant to tootle over there by coach; now, on a slightly damp and darkening autumn evening, I'm wondering whether the forthcoming 10 hour journey is such a good plan after all! Ah well, I'll catch up on my podcast backlog.

That place looks absolutely bloody gorgeous, especially that living room with those windows and fireplace. 10 hours seems kinda long, I'm presuming driving it isn't an option?

Alas I'm a non-driver. But there's only one change, it's dirt cheap, and it takes me to within 3 miles of the venue (as opposed to the nearest train, which stops 18 miles away).

Have a wonderful time and enjoy the autumn light and scenery! And the workshop too - a week to absorb yourself in writing and the doing of writing! I hope the coach journey is pleasant as it can be - even if it is long.

Thank you! Train involved 3 changes and a bus ride at the end, coach is one change and a short taxi ride, so with a bag full of book, I think I'll keep myself busy!
