My story A Kind of Valediction won a Mithril Award: Best Story Focusing on Men.

I'm thoroughly surprised about this one, and really pleased. I wrote it entirely for my own pleasure and was very pleased with how it came out, but really didn't think anyone else would be interested. I thought this one had no chance, particularly alongside the other, wonderful stories in the category. I'm very quietly happy and proud.

And I'm chuffed to bits about the Voters' Choice Award for A Game of Chess! Thank you to everyone who voted!

A friend and I sometimes duet on Abba songs. He's a countertenor, I'm a second alto. So he takes the high voice, and I take the low voice... (He's also a big strapping lad and I'm a tiny person - we must be a real freakshow!)

There's at least one instance in "Once More With Feeling" where Giles and Tara have the same music ("Is my Slayer too far gone to care?" and "Everything Is Turning Out So Dark") where Amber Benson hits the low note but Anthony Stewart Head bobbles it...

Hee! Yes, I can get Tara's note fine there! That's one of my favourite sing-a-long lines, actually! I can't get the high notes she gets, alas, but then she's brilliant.
