Just watched an episode of Spooks (BBC spy drama that makes you wistful for times when this kind of thing was Done Proper), in which Alexander Siddig played a spy. And he was extremely good. The whole episode was actually extremely good, which just made me that bit more wistful. Wish they did telly like this all the time.

Anyway, I always knew Section 31 would get him in the end.

I really enjoyed it, thought it was a good drama and he was great. There's a bit where the lead character wakes up in the middle of the night and Sid's sitting there in his bedroom - had me in stitches!

We have it on tape here - I just don't know how compatible systems are.

The whole VCR format thing is so annoying... I'll keep it for a while yet - might be possible to find someone who can do conversions.

Section 31 gets everyone in the end.

And then Garak gets them.

Is that the second episode in the new series? I've only seen the first one, and thoght it was a bit daft but lovely.

I love 'State of Play' as well.

Yes - they had the second episode on BBC3 right after the first one. I thought the first one was just what you said - daft but looks pretty. Although I wish the lead was better looking.

Did you watch any of 'Cambridge Spies'? We managed the first episode and thought it was fine, but then the next two sat on the digibox and eventually we knew we just weren't going to bother with them.

Matthew MacFadyen? He's a f.. he's a little cutie! Seriously, I thought he'd be quite your sort of thing - he seems the same physical type as John Cusack.

Cambridge Spies - nah - I'm getting a bit intolerant of historical stuff in general.

No, he looks too much like one of those skeletons they give to medical students, and his voice is funny.
