Passing through

I had a fantastic weekend in Dorset (despite a hideous dose of food poisoning on Saturday night). Cerne Abbas giant, Lyme Regis, Corfe Castle among the many pleasures. I feel like I haven't stopped in ages (Slash Fiction Study Day in Leicester today), and the rest of this week is equally frantic. I'm loving reading all your Redemption reports. My qresearch email address is completely fried but those with the knowledge of my yahoo address can reach me there.

Date: 2007-02-28 01:05 am (UTC)I hope that the slash study day went well today. I wish I could have been there, too, but I hope I can make it next year, if it's on again.
Good luck with the rest of your week...

Date: 2007-03-02 09:51 am (UTC)The slash day was great: uniformly good panels. Slash 3: Return of the Slash was being advertised while we were there, so hopefully you'll make it to that one!

Date: 2007-02-28 09:31 am (UTC)I hope the Slash Fiction Study Day was at least as good as last year, and you also get some time to relax this week.

Date: 2007-03-02 09:47 am (UTC)The Slash Day was great, although we missed the first talk as a result of spending forty minutes trying to park in the centre of Leicester, grrr... This week has been a bit frantic, but I'm off to the Lake District later today, and I hope I can get a chance to relax while I'm there.

Have you made photos?

Date: 2007-03-02 09:45 am (UTC)I stupidly didn't a camera along with me, but here are some online pictures: the Cerne Abbas giant; Corfe Castle; and Lyme Regis. A day trip to Lyme Regis is a very important part Jane Austen's novel Persuasion, which is one of my favourite books.

Date: 2007-03-02 09:39 am (UTC)I thought that was probably the case - the good news is that Slash 3: The Return of the Slash was already being advertised at this one. You should do a paper next time - there was a panel of literary slashing that you would have enjoyed (one on Shakespeare's Sonnets, the other on Billy Budd, novella and libretto).
