Feeling the spacey love
Jan. 19th, 2007 11:38 amIt's been a while since I've watched any DS9. And OMG I love DS9! Even an episode which has far too much crammed into it! Even an episode which doesn't entirely make sense! OMG! Weyoun! The Founder! Kai Winn! Damar! Kira! OMG GARAK!
Most of the rendering on the side of the house has fallen off in the storm. Fortunately our next-door neighbour's land rover wasn't parked there at the time like it usually is. And it was about twenty years old, so it was probably time for it to be done. And it's nowhere near as bad as what happens to Cardassia Prime.

BBC2 was airing TNG from the beginning at the end of last year, and I was watching that back, but it's not carried on in the new year, woe.

Date: 2007-01-19 01:34 pm (UTC)Glad you missed the storm. It's sunny and still here now, but the side of the house is a real mess. Ah well, at least no-one was hurt.

Date: 2007-01-19 01:06 pm (UTC)They aired DS9 episodes, for awhile, on one of our networks here, and I actually got to watch it. (As compared to when I was in college, in a rural town about 35 miles away over hill over dale from the nearest broadcast tower...)

Date: 2007-01-19 03:02 pm (UTC)I quite miss my episode-a-week DS9 marathon. But, having just got the complete B5 set, I can feel another marathon coming on.

Date: 2007-01-19 06:39 pm (UTC)OMG indeed. I so agree with everything you say.
I miss it. Not having cable I can't even see TNG like I was watching when I was back in Boone. :^( Am seriously considering biting the bullet and buying the DVDs.
And because you inspired me to look it up again: http://www.trekkieguy.com/startrekkin.shtml

I splurged and bought them a while back.
Now I have Star Trekkin stuck in my head...

Date: 2007-01-20 07:21 am (UTC)I have got to get that entire series on DVD and spend weeks watching it all over again...Sigh. Even the silly "Allamarain" episode (which is not my least favorite, it gets points for novelty and the Odo/Quark shakedown).
DS9 had the best first episode of any of the Star Trek series; though the rest of the first season was rough. It just kept getting better and better.
Alexander Siddig has an interesting role in the current season (the sixth, I think) of 24.

Date: 2007-01-23 02:49 pm (UTC)I don't mind the Allamarain episode. The one I really have to watch from behind my hand is the one with the leprechaun ('If Wishes Were Horses').
Alexander Siddig deserves to be a lot more famous than he is, he's a really good actor. (Tho' I can't quite believe 24 is on its sixth series...)
