NaNoWriMo Day 9

Phew, cutting it a bit fine today... I had 14,575 words when I had to go out at 4pm today but managed to work out what I was going to write for when I got back in. I've been keeping track of how long it's been taking me to write each day's word count, and currently I'm averaging 91 minutes per daily session (1667 words). Wow, this NaNo thing really feeds my inner stats freak.

It does, doesn't it? I've got a spreadsheet set up that calculates my daily & weekly avg wordcounts, but I hadn't thought of keeping track of actual writing time. Brilliant!

I've got spreadsheet with total, expected, mean, min, max &c&c ... but not so far kept much track of time; I fear it would be too depressing...

I close the file the moment I stop working on writing, even if I'm still at my desk and "in writing time". So I'm not counting frittered away time, only time spent actively producing words.

If I'm not careful, I'm going to start working out ratios of 1 word to time taken. And then try to break up the process and build my own little word production line.
