I just watched Apocalypse Now for the first time. Now there's a thing.

Still can't see Martin Sheen as anything other than Jed Bartlett though.

The long version, or the long, long version ("Redux")? I prefer the former. It's totally incoherent, but that kind of adds something.

Is Jed Bartlett the president on The West Wing? 'Cause whenever I think of that (never actually seen it) I always flash on The Dead Zone. Gentlemen, the missiles are flying. Hallelujah!

The long version. I wanted to see it before I saw 'Redux'. I was actually expecting it to be less coherent than it was, but it might have made partial sense only because I was half-asleep. Does 'Redux' have the weird music (the synthy-stuff, not the Doors or the Wagner)?

Bartlett is indeed President Bartlett from The West Wing. I really like The West Wing, even though it's so slick and everyone in it is so shiny that I'm sure I should hate it on some kind of principle.
