This week - and those of you who know me well will be amazed, astonished, dare I say even astounded - I have cooked. Two times - oh yes, no shirking here! Get me!

There has been corned beef hash. And in the oven right now, there is a veggie curry. How's about that then?

Wow! She also cooks! :-)

Go you indeed. But I hope you've not made a mess of Mr A's drawers of splendour...

Tomorrow, the staaaars!

I didn't dare do anything to the drawers other than a quick rummage.

Sounds as if you normally enjoy cooking about as much as I do. I doubt I could come up with a veggie curry, though.

I did have to have instructions IMed to me.

I don't know what to say.....

The real test is, did anyone else who was not a dog finish their serving? My theory is, if the plate is empty, I did well enough.

There was only me eating and I was ravenous.

So Mr. A is out of town and you are low on cash and can't order out, is that it? ;-)

Go you, though, whatever the motive. It is good to cook more, plus if it's done well, you have that lovely lingering scent of homemade goodness. And the leftovers, of course.

So what's on the menu for tomorrow?

Yup, you read me right!

So what's on the menu for tomorrow?

Leftovers, of course. And cheese.

Quite a lot of leftovers, actually - huge pile of curry in the big blue pot.

I find it often improves with keeping and re-heating.

I am sure, under the tutelage of Mr A, you will be mistress of the kitchen soon.

Love that icon.

Be careful. That's how the cooking virus infects a person. The next thing you know, you might find yourself browsing through cookbooks instead of novels the next time you're in a bookstore. Then it's regular trips to the store for actual fresh food. After that, it's too late. ;-)

That really would be the End Times!

The fresh food is brought to me, thanks to a local organic food delivery service.

That's no real protection. I'd suggest playing it safe and avoiding the kitchen altogether for the next few days, just in case.

I cook too. I burnt my cheese-on-toast today. It was cooking away and i went to deal with something else and there was this smell of smoke and...

It was my final slice of bread too.

*sniffs*

:-( :-(

On occasions like that, a friend of mine used to resort to cheese-on-plate.
