Poor Don Warrington! There should've been more of him...

wimoweh...wimoweh... You see if we don't.

It looks fantastic but the story is very ordinary. Although this time, the Rose/Dad stuff didn't get on our anatomy - perhaps because we are watching the story as one compressed piece.

I have to admit at this point I stopped watching, after moaning about all of the eps this season except GitF -- is the rest of the run worth trying to get hold of?

'Love and Monsters' is one of my favourites of the season (and it's the episode which directly addresses fandom). There are two fairly solid adventures, 'The Idiot's Lantern' and 'Fear Her', and a very SF two-parter which I liked a lot (Mr A. much less so). The final two-parter is very Tyler-family centric. But difficult to know what to recommend if you really didn't like the start of the season (since I loved 'New Earth' and 'School Reunion').

'New Earth' was a tale of two halves; I liked the opening a lot, but got steadily less happy with it as time went on. 'School Reunion' just never gelled for me; it felt too much like the type of fanfiction I avoid. Also Tennant's Doctor felt a bit all over the place in the episodes I caught. Did he settle down?

Tennant is high-octane: talkative, excitable, lots of energy. With occasional dark and contemplative moments.
