Wednesday. I am reading Against Management by Martin Parker, and the logo on the front is exactly like the new Doctor Who logo.

I think you'd really get on with this book (here's it's page at Amazon if you want more information). He looks at managerialism as a global form of ideology, that it's become 'common-sense' that we need managers and management, and he argues that there are other ways to organize. He reviews reponses to managerialism, including critical management studies and anti-corporate protests. There's a chapter on big organizations in SF films, yippee!, which was naturally the chapter I dipped into first.
