It's the finale of The West Wing on More4 tonight, and they're showing a bunch of 'best' episodes over the weekend (not including my favourite, grump, even though I have it on DVD).

In other news - this has been the best Big Brother ever!!

So -- which is your favourite?

I'm looking forward to tonight, I must say.

Pete, definitely. Richard a close second. And I really like Glyn and Jennie. Can't wait for the ghastly Michael to be turfed out.

I'm going to miss The West Wing so much. I've been watching the first season on DVD and it's been a real treat. What is your favourite episode?

I just remembered I have two favourites: Noel (Josh PTSD episode) and The Short List (Edward James Olmos, Supreme Court nomination).

I thought it sagged badly in season 5 after Sorkin left, but the last season and a half have been really enjoyable again.

Yes, I've really enjoyed the last season and a half too and I found the stuff about the election fascinating.

Both of your favourites are right up there in my top 5. Noel was brilliant and I've recently rewatched The Short List and thought it was excellent. Celestial Navigation also with Edward James Olmos is another one I really enjoy as a brilliant combination of the hilarious (Josh's "secret plan to fight inflation") and the serious. At the moment I'm enjoying rewatching it so much that my favourite episode tends to be the last one I watched *g*.

I really wish we were going to get more of the story of the next administration, particularly the relationship between Santos and Vinick.

Like all really good programmes, it's quite hard to pick a favourite episode, because there's usually something really good in each one. I love watching Ainsley and Sam, for example. Damn, I'm going to have to start watching it from the start again!

I really recommend watching from the start again. I'm having so much fun I'm having to ration myself to only one episode at a time!

I know from previous reviewings that I can devour three or four episodes at a time. Mr A. is away for a couple of weeks in the US soon, a WW rerun might be a good plan for the weekends.

This week has been brilliant, hasn't it? I've *so* loved the prison.

I'm not sure who'll go tonight, with the vote being the other way round. I think Michael and Spiral would be out like a shot on 'vote to evict', but how many people do you think would vote in favour of Susie and Imogen? The only pair completely safe tonight is Pete-Richard, I think.

Michael *was* putting that stuff on, wasn't he, about the weaker members of the house choosing to go to prison? I hope so.

The prison has been the funniest thing they've ever done. The cut between Michael saying how miserable everyone must be, to Pete wearing a pineapple on his head was inspired.

I'm hoping it's Michael and Spiral tonight. I think people may vote to keep Imogen because they like looking at her.

Personally, I don't think Michael was putting on that stuff, I think he's a nasty piece of work.

That cutting was genius, wasn't it. Michael gloating, them living it up. Wonderful.

I was pretty shocked by that stuff, actually. There was nothing to suggest that he was putting it on, except for how outrageous it was; I suppose I've just been clinging to the hope.

Yes, I'd definitely prefer to see Michael and Spiral go. Fingers crossed!

That kind of situation rapidly shows up the closet fascist.

Having just got Disc 1 of the sixth season of "The West Wing" from Lovefilm (my DVD subscription people), and watched episode 2 this morning. The subject, ironically, is Bartlet attempting to broker a peace deal between Israel and Palestine. And then the ep finished, and I switched to the news, aka real life, and it was SO BLOODY DEPRESSING. Why can't Bartlet be president in real life??!! WHY ???!! (Howls of agony and despair)

I bet if Martin Sheen ran for President, he'd be a shoo-in.
