Thank you! I could swear I saw a poster for the Roches as my bus went past Manchester University Students' Union last night, but a couple of people were standing in front of it, so I wasn't quite sure.
It's quite possible, as they're doing a tour here in March. I'm seeing them when they're on in London. It'll be the third time that I've seen them live, but the last occasion must be more than 20 years ago. The last time that they were over here, I missed them because I was on holiday in the US at the time!
Happy birthday from me too! I had a greeting on my last post after I saw Steve's, but when I saw your birthday wasn't on your user info, I removed it. But everyone else is outing you anyway.
Ah, there you are! I knew I'd had notification of a comment from you somewhere, but couldn't remember where...
Thank you!
I don't mind people knowing it's my birthday, I just don't put it in my userinfo. Something to do with julesjones telling me one shouldn't because of identity theft. So I just put my year of birth, which may be just as much use to thieves, I don't know, but strikes me as a more useful piece of information for friends.
I haven't given my year for the same reason, because people can find my name easily enough from my website. It's annoying that name and location are linked, because otherwise I would hide my birthday and just show my city.
Many thanks! And especially for the poem which for complicated reasons I didn't get round to reading until last night, but I'll email you in more detail later!
Is your 'Alterial and Isabeau' website still up and running? I'm updating the HASA URL Library links, and the link there isn't loading the page properly. (Neither is your "Hungerford Bridge" link here on LJ, by the way.) I'd like to keep that HASA link up to date, as your stories and Isabeau's is too good not to list - the more readers, the better!
Thanks! Is this new link a permanent link, or just a temporary one? If the bad link is just down temporarily, I'll wait a bit before replacing it to see if whatever the problem is gets fixed. (Yes, I'm lazy.)
The ntlworld link will always work: I use a forwarding service thingie on the qresearch domain which unfortunately doesn't seem to work as well as it should.
Amen, I say, and the same to lightbulbs! I think that's the best option, I know that one will always works. Damn, it's annoying, particularly as it can go for days before I work out it's happening.
