altariel: We have not spoken of Peter Davison.
mraltariel: We have not.
altariel: He's rather good. I feel in safe hands.
mraltariel: He is. A proper actor - we've not had one of those since 1969.
altariel: I like how old he seems - very Hartnellish, and yet he is not. Hartnell. Nor old. Do you like the costume?
mraltariel: Surprisingly, I think I do. It is better than the purple coat from last season.
altariel: I would also say that notwithstanding the last two stories, this season continues in that imaginative vein from Tom's last outings.
mraltariel: Yes, they're interesting and unusual, and quite well-written, designed and performed.
altariel: I'm sure it will carry on like this for another 20 Glorious Years.
mraltariel: Oh, at least.

Doctor Who: season 20

mraltariel: This is a bit of a letdown after the last season. It is not exactly bad, but it is not exactly good either
altariel: I agree. "Snakedance" and "Enlightenment" are the really striking stories, but there seems a higher ratio of meh.
mraltariel: And some downright rubbish. "Terminus", I'm looking at you. "Time-Flight" was the low point last season, but "Terminus" is even worse. It even thinks it is good.
altariel: Wait 'til we get to "Frontios".
mraltariel: Where's that?

Doctor Who: season 21

altariel: Well, I'm not sure Colin is served by his introduction. I always feel he's fighting against his stories. It is a shame.
mraltariel: And it is not exactly a classic season on which Davison bows out.
altariel: Again, a couple of strong stories, and a lot of meh.
mraltariel: The strong stories are amongst the best of "Doctor Who", though. And then, there's a couple of really, really sucky ones.
altariel: Tegan is one of my favourite companions in the show; a proto-Donna.
mraltariel: Let's take a moment to say cheerio to Tegan.
altariel and mraltariel (wearing cricket hats): Cheerio! Cheerio! Cheerio!
mraltariel: I don't think that came out the way we intended.
