From Tolkien 2005, slightly later than intended (bit of a cock-up on the phone front).

Slowly catching up on insane levels of email. Being without email has meant that I have polished off a B7 fic for the forthcoming Labor Day party (my first B7 fic in years). Being without email after attending an utterly wonderful Tolkien convention means that I've broken the block on Withered Tree (the Denethor Lives! AU) and I'm busy polishing off another chapter.

Good to be back.

Different AU (the Christmas Carol one is complete). I've posted some bits of this one in locked entries in the past - will probably repost those when this new chapter is ready, if you want to read a WiP. There might be rewrites when the whole thing is complete, though.

Originally, I had intended to go as well when I first heard about it, but in the end, I couldn't make it to Birmingham after all. From what I have heard, though, it seems to be have been an interesting and amusing experience (in other words: so many geeks in one place!).

I had a great time, thank you! It turned out to be a fascinating mixture of conference and convention, becoming rapidly more fannish as the weekend progressed, and the fanfic writers found each other. Enormous fun.
