I was gutted by Derek's eviction, particularly after my belated realization that he is, to all intents and purposes, Garak.

All hopes must now lie with the supremely geeky Eugene, the only human being left in the house. "Two negatives don't make a positive," he said about the festering sore that is the 'friendship' of Craig and Anthony. "Well, in actual fact they do, but not in this case." You can't write dialogue as beautiful as that.

The sooner Kinga goes, the happier I'll be.

Poor Kinga, she certainly doesn't do herself many favours.

I think Eugene's lovely. I was a bit worried that winning might be more of a burden to him than a gift, but I'm not any more.

I bet he says "Thank you!" either way.

Yes! When they asked him that question, all I could think was "Oh no, of all the people that had to make that decision!" - after the Makosi in the cage/tea and cakes thing, and how hard that was for him...

But YAY Craig is gone.

I am really, really glad Eugene took the money, because he absolutely deserves it, and none of the others would have tormented themselves over the choice on his account.

YAY indeed about Vile Craig. I can't believe he lasted as long as he did.

I was convinced that Kinga would be out tonight. Gosh.

Eugene is...remarkable. :-)

Craig is so hideously awfully vile, I can't believe anyone would vote for him. Kinga can be vulnerable.

Craig has been increasingly losing it. Anthony almost deserves to win just for putting up with it.

He has had to put up with an awful lot.

The idea of DS9 characters in a Big Brother house make me laugh~! I'm not watching the US version, but this might set me to planning my own. :-)

I can't help but think of how Odo seemed to have hidden cameras everywhere...

Bashir: I hope you don't have one of those in my quarters.
Odo: Should I? O.-

Derek = Garak is intriguing...

If you ever want to waste a LOT of time, there's a fifty-four-page long thread on BB6 on Barbelith, most of which is about how vile Craig is, with some bonus psychiatric diagnosis and Morrissey comparisons from Ganesh, our resident shrink (actually, you might have met Ganesh at my party - he was wearing a white ruffled shirt saying RIOT on it). A good place to start is here.

I haven't seen any of this series of Big Brother, because for the past two or three years the Barbelith threads have been much more entertaining than actually watching it (and allowed me to 'pass' as an obsessed fan in conversation with other humans), but I nearly cracked and watched Craig's eviction last night - except that it was in the half-hour between the first half of the Lost pilot on 4 and The L-Word on Living TV, and I would have got whiplash of genre.

Oh god, it's like internet heaven...

I've not seen as much of this BB as I usually do, because they were all so particularly ghastly this time round. I had to wait until half of them had left before I could bear to watch. It's now as mesmerizing as ever, of course.

You'll be able to explain this to me - why did Vanessa get kicked out ?

I stopped watching after she left.

No idea - I only started watching after she'd gone. Why did you give up watching when she left?
