I thought the ending felt a bit cobbled on (I wonder whether they'd intended to have the regeneration before all the news about Eccleston leaving broke), but I love a regeneration, and the rest of the episode was great.
Oooh, yes! :-) I couldn't quite believe that they were going to do the one with Jack, but it was entirely right.
I have an idea for an icon, too (not the kissing bits, though). I'm waiting eagerly for chaotic-creative (http://www.chaotic-creative.com/gallery/doctorwho) to be updated... I just need to remember not to use it until after kalypso_v has watched it!

I think that the Doctor/Rose kiss might have been difficult earlier in the season, but at the end, and as part of a sacrifice by the Doctor, it felt right.
Icon-as-spoiler only just really hit me, too, as I was dancing round the room about my icon idea. Which, strangely, is also for Rose. :-) I hope it'll work. Even if it doesn't, I'm definitely going to have to have a Rose icon of some kind.
The Jack/Rose and Jack/Doctor kiss are already there. ;-)

For once, i actually watched television. Tonight's DW was definitely a diamond in the mud of that particular medium. The 'Making of...' doco was enjoyable too.
