Via [livejournal.com profile] hafren: someone has nicked a Dalek from Wookey Hole. I raise my plunger in salute. These buggers are not easy to move.

Hmm, let's hope they don't find the 'on' button... :-)

[livejournal.com profile] ajhalluk just came round and was so taken with the front page of the Teesdale Mercury depicting a Dalek invading Barnard Castle that she's taken it away with her in hopes of finding a scanner... This will be really handy for my Report on the Trip, if it comes off.

I wish that you hadn't used the words "plunger" and "buggers" in such close proximity. The mental picture conjured up in my mind was not pleasant. :)

If this hasn't already been said anywhere, just imagine Charlotte Green reading the following:
"Police are warning the public that the Dalek is dangerous and should not be approached."

Obviously I don't approve of theft, but anybody who goes to all the time and effort not only to plan and execute the theft of a full-size Dalek, but also to make it look like a kidnapping, deserves some kind of recognition.

Maybe they should be allowed to write an episode of the second season.

Heehee. *is easily amused* Have you seen these (http://www.howstrange.com/gallery/page16.html) links (http://www.brimstone.com/~jasona/images/art_computer_dalekpoolbreak.jpg) yet?

Hmm.. I think Dr. Who is actually showing on TV here. Is it difficult to keep up with not knowing anything about the fandom?

Love the links: this one is just like it is in our house.

Not at all - the show has been aimed at an entirely new audience (although those who've been watching it for years have plenty in it to keep them happy).

That is so cool. I want a Dalek now. Even though I have no idea what they are aside from being very cool robotic thingies.
