And thank you VERY much for getting that song stuck in my head.

"Panic" or "Frankly, Mr Shankley"?

"Frankly Mr. Shankly."

I keep clicking on the Blunkett one over and over. It's totally cracking me up. It would be even funnier and less scary if Pres. Bush didn't keep proposing the same things.

It eerily echoes a lot of Mr Blunkett's policies.

Sorry about the Smiths earworm!

Going off the point slightly (or possibly not), they showed a Smiths concert from 1984 on VH2 last night! I almost wept. It was back in the days when Morrissey used to wear a blouse and have a tree growing out of his arse.

Apparently the eighties is the new nineties. Or something.

Was that from his hearing aid period? Ah, happy days.

Yes! And he did the dance that I thought at the time was soulful and mysterious, but which now makes him look like he had a rather strange nervous condition.

Could still be all three.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the man who wrote 'Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others'.

I'm prepared to forgive Morrissey a lot.

Ah, the eighties. When you couldn't tell dancing from an epileptic fit.

and have a tree growing out of his arse.

I must have missed that year.

It was a classic Top of the Pops appearance, some time way back in the depths of the 80s...

It's completely burned in my brain, too. I can't think of Morrissey without the image of him with that branch in his back pocket.

(Oh, and totally OT, I saw this and thought of you...

Elf form? Given my height, I thought I was more in hobbit form.
