There's a little interview at the BBC site with the guy who did the new version raving about Delia Derbyshire.

In my wildest, most optimistic dreams, I never imagined them getting it that right.

It was awesome, wasn't it?

And to think that this time last week I was watching Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway . . .

It was just wonderful.

Last week I was watching LotR extended edition DVDs. I haven't watched telly on Saturday nights in years!

The BBC are hoping several million people will be saying exactly the same thing.

What she doesn't mention

Is that the BBC's cunning scheduling means that La Famille Altariel also watched "Strictly Dance Fever" and accidentally enjoyed it.

I did get a bit distracted afterwards. Even tho' the BBC seemed to be determined to keep Graham Norton at the forefront of my mind.

Yes, I aw Holmes's name whizzing past at the end, and thought "what?" and then "I'll check that out when I get home assuming the VCR did what it should."

I want a screencap of Chris Eccleston peering through the catflap.

I think they were probably obliged to credit Holmes for the Autons, but it was still such a wonderful thing to see his of all names there on the credits.

I think you should have a screencap of Eccleston with 'North' on it.

Yes, I eventually worked out Holmes must have been responsible for the Autons, but it took me by surprise at the time. Have spent so much time working through LJ backlog since return I haven't had time to check the tape yet.

The icon is planned. I just need that screencap.

If the tape hasn't worked, give me a shout - it'll be easy to run off a copy for you at this end (Graham Norton intervention and all).

It seems to be there OK, amid a bunch of other stuff. Will try to review it properly later today.
