Seriously...oh, who can be serious with all those gaudy Mary-Sue takes on Arwen and Luthien and Minas Tirith wenches? I owe you a drink or something for the link.
I was thinking of having a vodka eye-bath as well.
I think I prefer "Drunken Monk's Mead" -- doesn't burn as much in your throat, tastes far sweeter and has the same desired effect after a few glasses. Or bottles.
And I am not sure whether my brilliant motivational technique works, considering the fact that I'm now sitting at my PC again, grinning evilly at all your comments.
I second the disgust at both the swanboat and Barbie!Madonna!Babe!Galadriel. I was tempted to include that picture as well in my collection, but it wouldn't be fair to single Rowena Morrill out for all the praise, would it?
The thing I particularly like about this one is the way her hair wafts out sideways like a Barbie dolls. Its Nylon hair isn't it? No points for costume originality - clearly been nicked from the Greek and Roman exhibit at the British Museum.
OMG. Some of those were seriously disturbing. Luthien the exotic dancer was bad enough but Beren's hat made it almost worse. Ugh... Good Tolkien art is very, very good, but when it's bad it's horrid!
Thanks. Seeing all the bad art really makes me appreciate how beautiful the images from the film generally are. I don't think I'll be making an icon out of that Luthien any time soon *g*.

Brilliant work motivational technique.
