I do own a microscope, but it once belonged to my elder brother (who majored in physics) and I haven't used it for years.

And I guess I also got some points for using Mozilla as a browser when I did that quiz, but this is only due to the fact that our computer room is administrated by really nerdy Linux freaks. Windows and Internet Explorer would be anathema to them...

I'm definitely getting geekier as I'm getting older. Mr A. was going to get me a microscope for Xmas, but we've started small, with a little chemistry set. And I'm making crystals as well.

I think I got geek points for remembering bits of the periodic table, and (I *think*) for recognizing Isaac Newton.

I think we've still got my brother's chemistry set stowed away somewhere, but my Mom wouldn't let me use it. She said that she was sick of smelling sulphur in the kitchen. And I've never ventured into crystal making, either. So when will you start creating your first own Silmaril?

I did the 'recognise this scientist' questions by having a vague idea of when they were around, and eliminating any names that I knew weren't from that period. Got 'em both right, too.

Crystals are fun. We grew crystals of table salt on a bit of string when I was a kid.

This was a little crystal growing pack with bits of quartz and stuff. They're taking their time to grow. I don't have the patience to be a proper scientist.
