It's a good thing my co-worker is absent today, as this allowed me to nick the speakers off her computer before downloading this. It looks good, and sounds great. I'm now off to Outpost Gallifrey to find out at which point DW fandom thinks the series has definitively gone downhill. Will it be the slight glow around the vanishing Tardis? The point where Eccles says "I'm the Doctor, by the way" instead of the traditional "I am THE DOCTOR!"? Or will it be the completely unacceptable opening shot of a half-moon which outrageously violates a decades-long tradition of second-rate extras being unconvincingly killed at the start of any true classic?
There was a great letter in DWM a few months back in the standard whining tone about how the new series was obviously going to be a travesty, and that the letter-writer was now forsaking DW after 40 million happy years of being a fan. The response from the editor was brilliant: "Bye then!"

It's bloody awful.
I take it we saw a bit of the "title sequence." And I saw -- worst ever for a show.
It really doesn't get me interested. If I was not already a fan, I would say --no way."
