1. What was the last song you heard? I'm playing Aimee Mann's album Whatever. So the last track I listened to was I Should've Known.

2. What were the last two movies you saw? The Italian Job and The Two Towers (of course).

3. What were the last three things you purchased? Lunch yesterday at Pret (tuna sandwich, bottle of water, coffee mocha). Return bus ticket to town. A copy of Agnes Grey for £1.

4. What four things do you need to do this weekend? 1. Mark some very, very overdue essays. 2. Write a very, very overdue contribution to a round robin. 3. Sort out my Blake's 7 zines so that I can come up with a 'for sale' list. 4. Read Rebecca West's The Return of the Soldier to take it back to the library on Monday. 5. Write the abstract for TBT. It's only 300 words, goddammit! 6. Learn to count.

5. Who are the last five people you talked to? I had two classes yesterday, so that was six students altogether, and the SO this morning.

You know, I couldn't work out who you were at first. The clues were - of all things - the name 'Brian', and the fact that you'd been listening to 'My Perfect Cousin'.

What was 'Solaris' like?

Good-looking and interesting. Not as glacial as the Tarkovsky version. I'm a sucker for SF anyway.

Perhaps I should try and find one of those persona pictures.

Do you want an invite code so you can have your very own journal?
