Updates to Anke Eissmann's site
Oct. 16th, 2004 07:36 pmPoking around Anke Eissmann's site today, I found two new paintings of Faramir, one in the Houses of Healing called Athelas and one with Boromir entitled Escape From Osgiliath (I can't link to them directly, but they are all linked from that main page above).
She has also painted one of my favourite major characters, Tom Bombadil, and one of my favourite minor characters, the fox:
Here is an old story of mine about them both, and another character, Moss and Stone.

"A few creatures came and looked at them when the fire had died away. A fox passing through the wood on business of his own stopped several minutes and sniffed. 'Hobbits!' he thought. 'Well, what next? I have heard of strange doings in this land, but I have seldom heard of a hobbit sleeping out of doors under a tree. Three of them! There's something mighty queer behind this.' He was quite right, but he never found out any more about it."
