I'm very taken with the chair.

Meanwhile, taken from [livejournal.com profile] echoriath:

The sixth book written, you're nevertheless the first chronologically. You not only describe the creation of Narnia and tell where the White Witch, the lampost and the wardrobe came from, you get to bounce between worlds with the help of Uncle Andrew's weird magic rings.

Find out which Chronicles of Narnia book you are.

Although The Silver Chair is probably my favourite.

Nice outfit, too.

The chains were a nice touch, I thought.

The "laying" sounds good, though I feel you might be a bit hard on the eyes in golden robes and silver chains! I can't resist trying this myself though I suspect my answer will be rather awe-inspiring *g*.

Of course I meant to say rather *less* awe-inspiring!

LOL, I thought it was fighting talk!

I got The Silver Chair. Neener. I think that one's a tie with Voyage of the Dawn Treader for my favourite.

Wah! I like bits of Dawn Treader, like the bits with the dragon. And Reepicheep.

I'll trade you my angelic beings and prostrate masses for your chair...

Hm... but won't prostrate masses come anyway by adorning my chair with the skulls of those who not prostrate themselves?

I smite indiscriminately... it doesn't matter if my puny creations prostrate themselves or not. I'm in it for the chair. And the orgasmic grip.

I do enjoy watching the huddled masses prostrate. If you polish the skulls for me, you can have a go on the chair every Wednesday.

I got the Silver Chair, though possibly I cheated a bit when I was dithering between three answers and knew which would rake up Silver points. But I'm sure the Lady of the Green Kirtle would have gone for onyx and perpetual moonlight if she'd thought of it.

On the plus side, you do get Charn and the Deplorable Word.

Gosh, the Deplorable Word, I had completely forgotten about that. I need to reread these books.

I got LWW - fair enough.

What are all these votes for The Silver Chair ? I remember this as my least favourite. What did I miss ? I always liked The Last Battle. Oh, and Prince Caspian, and LWW, and the end of Voyage, and...

I think most of all I like the combination of Jill, Eustace and Puddleglum. I love how they are completely rubbish at the task, and forget all the advice they're given - that's how I'd be on a quest. And I love Puddleglum's impassioned speech at the end: the secret idealist at the heart of even the most jaded old crusty.

I have never really liked The Last Battle: when I was a kid, it made me cry to see Narnia destroyed (I'm soft); when I got older, I became suspicious of the message. Also I don't like what happens to Susan.

You've reminded me why I didn't like The Silver Chair - it hasn't got the real people in it, only Eustace etc. And I don't like Eustace. (Sorry, but if you start off bad like he does there's no way back with me.)

Aw, poor Eustace, he even suffers dragon scales for his redemption.
