I'm about 20 pages into Riddley Walker by Russell Hoban, using the annotations on this site. It's taking me some time but - wow.

Wow, indeed. One of my all-time favourite novels. I read it on the train commuting to my job as a copy-editor and it did my head in.

Doing my head in is a very good description. I'm getting through a couple of pages at a time, and having to put it aside and rearrange myself. Plus it's depressing as all hell.
