It's a full life, if a trifle banal

Well, your knowledge of the classics certainly outstrips mine! I'll say again - I am very poorly read, it's something which I'm trying to remedy.

Daisy Miller did little for me although, as I said, it gained new interest after I read the sections in Nafisi's book about it.

I think the prose in The Great Gatsby is amazing. And it's one of those books I turn over in my mind a lot.

Lolita is knockout. Can't believe I never read it before.
