Religion is a tricky subject, and tends to stoke intolerance among fervent believers and fervent non-believers alike. I am not religious in the usual sense of the word, but reading some of the comments above, I think I know what you mean about "peak experiences". I don't really care all that much if such experiences are supernatural or not. They may be, or they may not.
Eliot sometimes expresses something I "recognise" in a strange kind of way, if that makes sense...

I am not religious in the usual sense of the word, but reading some of the comments above, I think I know what you mean about "peak experiences". I don't really care all that much if such experiences are supernatural or not. They may be, or they may not.
