Wes would appear to be the former, only to be suddenly revealed as the latter at a dramatic plot juncture. Or maybe the other way around.
I have all the Code 9 eps on my Sky+ box, but I haven't got around to watching them yet. It's been a bit difficult to get over the "I'll look at that later" inertia, with all the other stuff I have to watch, and it's not helped that the two minutes of Code 9 I have seen looked more like an episode of This Life than a spy drama. I am reliably told that a second season of Code 9 is quite likely.
