I'm interested by this whole HDTV thing, M's got a widescreen one but I don't think it's HD so I'd be fascinated to sneak a peek sometime :) (We have just got a hard disk recorder though, which I'm all bouncy about - we need never miss an episodeagain!)

Yes - Isnt it wonderful - I just wish they would let us plug in an external harddrive - I've been save all of S3 of Deadwood for a one hit watch and i'm rapidly running out of room ... but its soooo cool in HD ...

HDTV is on the want to buy list, but other more practical items superceede it.

A friend has one, and it is astounding. Moreso in the home than the store. Lower lighting levels and real grown up movies & TV shows make you realize what you have been missing. I have as good a standard TV picture as you can get, and it is not even close to HDTV.

I have no idea what HD TV is, and am too lazy to google it or look it up on wikiepedia, but I am assuming technological gadgetry of the shiniest kind. Hurrah for the shiny!
