Well, b*gg*r me sideways - it turns out that Clonemaster Fen in Weapon is played by Kathleen Byron, who was tempted nun Sister Kate in Powell and Pressburger's Black Narcissus. Blimey, you live and learn.

I think it's fantastically good, but then Powell and Pressburger (the director and producer) made some of my favourite films (particularly A Matter of Life and Death - see icon).

Dammit, though, I just (literally, last week) gave my tape of it to a charity shop, otherwise I would have stuck it in the post.

I like Fen too - despite the Big OverBlown Gesture (and the woooo-aaaa music), she conveys grace and stature. Gives Servie a run for her money.

Hey Una, was thinking about you recently cos I burned a DVD copy of our immortal appearance on that B7 docu 10 years ago. Thought I'd look you up again. Hi Pita! How lovely to hear from you! I was thinking about you only last week and wondering how you were. Yes, I'm still keeping the faith, though I do range every so often into writing Deep Space Nine and Tolkien stuff. The PD autobiography is a hoot, I think you'd really enjoy it.
