The moment has been prepared for
Mar. 29th, 2006 10:28 amIt strikes me that not everyone on my friends' list has been scouring the net for news, also that just because I know something that doesn't mean everyone else automatically knows it too. So, courtesy of Outpost Gallifrey, Doctor Who series 2 transmission details:
"The new issue of Doctor Who Magazine, reaching subscribers today, has confirmed rumors that Series Two will debut on Saturday, April 15 at 7:00pm. Widely rumored as the target date by fans and even the press as early as last November, this is the first official confirmation anywhere of the date of transmission of the first new episode, 'New Earth'."
Which is two-and-a-half weeks or 17 days from now. Set your clocks, cancel all appointments.

Re: squeeee!!
Date: 2006-03-29 01:36 pm (UTC)write more Cardassian stuff please.
Re: squeeee!!
Date: 2006-03-29 01:36 pm (UTC)The only book I've read by Feist is Magician.
Re: squeeee!!
Date: 2006-03-29 01:44 pm (UTC)The Empire Trilogy's a spinoff from Magician. I thought it was much, much better - it had more thought put into it from the beginning and it came out as a fascinating portrait of a culture rather than a story about a bunch of people in a fairly generic sword-and-sorcery setting. Magician's a good story, mind you, but there's nothing about Midkemia as a world that distinguishes it from a million other dungeons-and-dragons settings.

:-D I have to finish this novel, before either it or Mr A. kills me ;-D

I can forgive a lot, if the societies are interesting and well-depicted. I tend not to read a lot of fantasy (early exposure to Tolkien), although I love Bujold's The Curse of Chalion (you must put that one on your list!).
Re: squeeee!!
Date: 2006-03-29 02:31 pm (UTC)I keep trying to do it myself, but I'm lazy and have trouble finishing things.
