Have you booked accomodation yet? Can I shamelessly plug the student digs at Cairncross (where you will fine me, Katlinel and Sugoll and possibly others). Very cheap - I got 5 nights in a single room for £90. Not £90 per night but £90 total!!!!! And at least it means you will have some people to share late taxis back with (the area around the SECC is fine but a bit deserted for wandering around on your own late at night).
