In the way we've set it up (particularly through judicious slaughter of any other possible male relatives for Faramir), I think an illegitimate son of Boromir, recognized by Faramir, and educated by the Prince of Dol Amroth might well have a strong claim as Faramir's heir. Until he had a son of his own.
