I've been trying to work out what it says about my personality that I blubbed at the end of Dalek, but not for either Father's Day or this one.

Well, I had a good cry at the end of the fabulous Charleston on Strictly Dance Fever, so don't take any cues from me!

Did you have any breaks in transmission during it, or was it just us?

It was just you. Except for my housemate coming in the room and trying to talk to me right when the Doctor was explaining the entire plot with the nanogene thingies...

It wasn't just you: we had a few glitches as well. Mustr have been interference from that invisible alien invasion force hovering over Cambridge that I'm not supposed to tell anyone about on pain of instant vaporisation. Oh boll

Gah. I'd read someone's conjectures about that online so was expecting that one.

Oh, I realise the heading of my post is a spoiler. *changes it*

Yes, it was the most enjoyable TV program I've seen for ages, I'm still smiling

Howard phoned from Tesco during the zombie attack! 'Do we need milk?' 'Don't bother me now, goddamit, the doctor has only seconds to save humanity.'

What the hell was he doing in Tesco during Doctor Who?!!

He's an ISTP, he doesn't watch science fiction unless I force him. His excuse was 'I forgot the time'

It was excellent. I liked the style with which Jack faced what he thought was certain imminent death. It seems that he's going to be a companion now, at least for a while.

Nancy too showed great bravery. I thought last week: "That actress is a good four or five years older than the character she is playing." It's not the first time in this series that the writers seem to have been reading my mind.

I thought last week: "That actress is a good four or five years older than the character she is playing."

I thought that too, and put it down to the practice of casting an older actress to play a younger role. Clever writers, playing with my expectations for television.

Maybe you should write in to Russell T. Davies and explain that, in an attempt to persuade him that episodes don't have to be set on Earth for the viewer to relate to them?

Gah! I missed it. I'm so annoyed with myself. I don't turn the TV on in the normal course of things, and remembering the time of a particular programme is obviously too much. I'll have to wait for those DVDs the Beeb seem to be running out so quickly :) At least someone filled me in on the plot.
