What a silly way to hold an election. I think the date should be set to May 5, 2009, so all the parties involved can raise a trillion Pounds, and spend it all on negative advertising. Make sure the candidates ignore all the issues of the day, and spend the entire trillion informing the electorate that the other candidate missed a reserve officer's training session in 1963.

I know you'll ignore this great advice, and just have a boring debate on the issues, and get on with the voting after it is clear where the candidates stand.
