New Hitchhiker's trailer (thanks DL and [livejournal.com profile] eldritchhobbit!). It's like they did one for a US audience and one for a UK audience...

Meanwhile, I'm cross-eyed from teaching and essays and lack of sleep since Redemption. Have a half-written con report which I'll try to get finished and posted before next Redemption... Am feeling the cheerfullest I've been in months.

I was just about to post a link to the trailer. You got there before me! It gives me more hope than the last trailer I saw - Stephen Fry is so good as The Book, and even a little bit of Marvin, yay.

Glad you're feeling cheerful!

Cheerful is good, though since you don't define the baseline I'm not quite sure how cheerful the current peak might be. I hope it rises and then holds for a long time. And I'll go and view the trailer shortly...

Isn't the trailer fun? I am so psyched about Alan Rickman voicing Marvin...

I'm staring at a stack of take-home midterm essays, so I feel your pain, and yet somehow also share your cheerfulness. Good for us! :)

Big smile and a hug for cheerfulness!

Thanks for the pointer to the trailer. Now *that* looks good. Stephen Fry, Alan Rickman.... wow.

And Bill Nighy. But I'm always psyched about Bill Nighy. :)

All in all, fantastic casting in every direction...

Thanks for the good wishes; baseline has been 'pretty shitty' since the New Year, but I've definitely turned a corner. Enjoy the trailer.

Thanks for the hug!

I'm loving the trailer. I'm loving Fry. I'm loving Rickman. I'm sounding like a McDonald's advert.

Would you like Fry with that?

Welcome back! Glad you're feeling cheerful, and thanks for the link - I keep forgetting there's a Hitchhiker's film :)

I thought it was a smashing trailer, really funny. I could listen to Stephen Fry's voice for ever.

The only thing I can't forgive Bill Nighy for is Love, Actually. And it was hard to forgive the BBC for putting it on as the Christmas Day film.

Urk, good luck with those essays. I just nailed mine, but I'll be getting a new batch in over the weekend...

I suppose the Hitchhiker's film is there to keep us going in the space between new Dr Who and Serenity. Although it's long empty summer...

Well

That's better.

The first one was v. disappointing - at least there's evidence of a sense of humour in this one!

Hooray.

(And Dr Who runs April/May/June so there's not much of the summer to kill, I hope. All that sunshine and insects. Boo. Hiss. Overrated nonsense. Bah.)

Crikey, is she not there yet? I sent her back on Monday, honest, it must have been those Leicester types that kidnapped her next...

Had sudden blinding flash of revelation while cooking this evening about parallel between Calormen and Cardassia. Have now forgotten exactly what it was, apart from "heat".

Thank you! Plus - has finally snowed here, so it looks all pretty outside. No doubt I'll be fed up with it by this afternoon.

There are already Hitchhiker movie trailers out there? Several of them? *crawls out from under her rock and wanders off to have a look at the trailer*
